Ampel Mosque is an ancient mosque located in the Ampel sub-district, district Semampir, Surabaya, East Java. The oldest mosque in East Java was built in 1421 CE by Sunan Ampel where his tomb complex is located within the area.

Cheng Ho Mosque is a mosque with Chinese influences in Ketabang, Kecamatan Genteng, Surabaya. It is located in the Indonesian Chinese Muslim Association complex, 1000 meters to the north of the Surabaya City Hall. The Surabaya Tourism Board has promoted it as a site for religious tourism.

The Heroes Monument is a monument in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. It is the main symbol of the city, dedicated to the people who died during the Battle of Surabaya on 10 November 1945. The 10 November Museum is located under the monument.

The Surabaya bombings were a series of terrorist attacks that initially occurred on 13 May 2018 in three churches in Surabaya, the second largest city in Indonesia and the capital of East Java province. The explosions occurred at Immaculate Saint Mary Catholic Church on Ngagel Madya Street; Indonesia Christian Church on Diponegoro Street; and Surabaya Central Pentecostal Church on Arjuno Street.

Tunjungan Street is a street and major thoroughfare in Downtown Surabaya, Indonesia. The name is also generally more used for the business district surrounding the street. It has a prominence importance in the history of the city’s development and continues to the present day.
