Île de Gorée is one of the 19 communes d'arrondissement of the city of Dakar, Senegal. It is an 18.2-hectare (45-acre) island located two kilometres at sea from the main harbour of Dakar, famous as a destination for people interested in the Atlantic slave trade.

Hann is a neighbourhood of Dakar, the capital of Senegal. It is located on the eastern side of the small south facing peninsula on which the old city of Dakar was built. Hann neighborhood sits along a crescent shaped beach called Hann Bay.

Les Mamelles Lighthouse is a strategically important lighthouse situated near Cap Vert, the westernmost point of Africa, on the outskirts of Dakar the capital of Senegal. Completed in 1864, it has been described as "one of the world's great lighthouses, guiding ships around the western tip of Africa".
