The Al-Ajbal Mosque, also known as the Al-Aqrab Mosque or the Al-Saghir Mosque of Manawi Lajim, is a historic mosque located in the Al Amitahiyah district of Manawi Lajim neighbourhood near Abu al-Khaseeb in Basra, in the Basra Governorate of Iraq. It can accommodate at least 150 worshippers. The mosque dates from the late 14th century; and was extensively remodelled in 1998.

Basra or Basrah is a port city in southern Iraq. It is the capital of the eponymous Basra Governorate, as well as the third largest city in Iraq overall, behind Baghdad and Mosul. Located near the Iran–Iraq border, the city is situated along the banks of the Shatt al-Arab that empties into the Persian Gulf.

The Imam Mosa Al Kadhim Grand Mosque is a Twelver Shi'ite congregational mosque located in the city of Basra, in the Basra Governorate of Iraq. The mosque is located near the city of Mishraq and near Hayaniya. The mosque is named in honor of the Seventh Twelver Imam, Mūsā al-Kādhim, who was also known as Abu 'I-Hassan and al-Kazim.

Qarmat Ali, known locally as Al-Qarmah and historically as Nahr Adi, is an Iraqi town located in Al-Hartha District, Basra. The river that gives it its name runs through it, and it is the largest river in Basra. It is connected to the Marshes and flows into the Shatt al-Arab, and on it is a bridge connecting the north of Basra to its south, and another bridge connecting it to Al-Maqal.
