Black Star Square, also known as Independence Square, is a public square in Accra, Ghana, bordered by the Accra Sports Stadium and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. The square often hosts the annual independence celebrations as well as other national events, and is the site for all civic and military parades and other national gatherings.

The Independence Arch is a national monument located at Black Star Square in Accra, the capital of Ghana. It forms part of a complex of monuments commemorating the country's independence from British colonial rule in 1957. The Arch, alongside the Black Star Gate and the Liberation Day Monument forms part of the greater independence square.

Jamestown Lighthouse is a lighthouse located in the Jamestown district of Accra, Ghana. Standing approximately 28 meters tall, the lighthouse was constructed in the early 1930s to replace an earlier 1871 structure, and has served as a key navigational aid for vessels entering the port of Accra.

Makola Market is a market place and shopping district in the center of the city of Accra, the capital of Ghana. A wide array of products is sold in the markets and its surrounding streets, from car parts to land snails. Dominated by women traders, the market sells fresh produce, manufactured and imported foods, clothes, shoes, tools, medicines, and pots and pans.
